Back To Dirt Conservancy was established to create and protect sustainable mountain bike, hiking and canoe trails in Sanford/Lee County and the surrounding Deep River basin. BTD Conservancy aspires to secure more public access greenspace between City of Sanford and Deep River before it is overrun with urban and commercial development and establish the Sanford area as a mountain bike, hiking and canoe destination.
