Central Alabama Mountain Pedalers is one of the premier SORBA (Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association) in the Southeast region, serving the Auburn/Opelika area of East Central Alabama. We are a hardworking and motivated group dedicated to improving the lives of the people living and visiting East Alabama. CAMP's goal is to promote trail advocacy, health, wellness, and education by developing, maintaining, and riding sustainable multi-use trails in our locality.
CAMP is currently active in building and sustaining multiple IMBA-level trail systems in the area, including a fast-growing multiple-disciplinary cycling facility at Chewacla State Park, a trail developed in collaboration with the City of Auburn, and miles of trails in the Tuskegee National Forest.
As a SORBA chapter and supporter of IMBA, CAMP has a deep and focused relationship with trail stewardship at a sustainable level in accordance with IMBA's trailbuilding practices. Frequent visits to other regional trail systems, and visits with our IMBA brothers and sisters throughout the United States have given CAMP's members a unique perspective on making the Auburn/Opelika area the Southeast's top destination for mountain biking.
