I think it would be good to consider trail improvements that would make a would class trail from Fuller Lake to Nevada City. Of Course this is the Pioneer trail. In the meantime It would be a good if new a trail could be built soon where CalTrans has destroyed the trail due to Highway 20 realignment or at least install signage so riders don't just come to a dead end with a sign that says trail closed. Someone has already done this with a sign and pink ribbons for one section.
Caltrans has paid the Tahoe National Forest to relocate the Pioneer Trail where it has obliterated it. Preliminary scouting work has been done by the Forest and will be more extensive after October when Caltrans ceases construction for this year. BONC adopted and maintains the section of Pioneer from Spaulding Lake Trail down to the river where Gold Country Trails Council (the equestrian group) becomes responsible down to White Cloud. BONC maintains from White Cloud down to the market.
