The famous WAMOs "Night Riders" of Pirongia meet at the Pirongia pub every Thursday at 6pm, in the rain, hail, snow, moonlight, summer sunshine, wintry pitch darkness or hurricane, charge up the mountainside, through the white gate, up the forest road, blast down the single-track, scream down the mountainside and gather in the pub afterwards over beer and hamburgers.
