Copeland Forest Trails Clean-up Day
Date: Saturday April 26, 9 am to 12:30 pm
Meeting Place: Horseshoe Valley Resort Nordic Centre (1102 Horseshoe Valley Road West)
Copeland Forest was hit hard by the ice storm resulting in many trees and tree limbs being brought down and blocking the trails. And while much progress is being made in trail clearing by the Copeland “trail fairies”, much work is still required.
Copeland Forest Friends Association (CFFA) will be hosting a Clean-Up Day on April 26th, 2025. Both CFFA members and non-members are welcome to participate in this event. If you hike or ride the forest trails, then please support this event.
Even trails that have been cleared of trees and branches have much debris on them and require raking.
Please bring your own hand tools if possible (e.g. loppers, hand saws, rakes).
Certified chainsaw operators with proper personal protection equipment (PPE) are also welcome.
If you are able to join us, please register at [email protected] by Thursday April 24. When registering please indicate what tools you will bring.
Refreshments and snacks will be served after the clean-up.
