Jun 21, 2026 @ 11:52am (America/Denver) 18 hours | mtb Lots of trees down. Both on the flat techy section and the climb up to the ridge. Still worth it, barely, but be prepared for extra work and frustration. | Dry | view
Jun 21, 2026 @ 11:47am (America/Denver) 18 hours | mtb Still *so* many downed trees, on the entire east side of the lake. Dozens. Beavers are knocking them down (even giant aspens) right near the lake, but elsewhere it's just dead forest and no maintenance. Some have well beaten paths around, so it's been a while since it was cut out. Bummer, as others said, great trail otherwise. | Unknown | view

May 23, 2026 @ 5:48am (America/Phoenix) May 23, 2026 | mtb A tiny bit over grown but not an obstacle | Dry | view
May 23, 2026 @ 5:48am (America/Phoenix) May 23, 2026 | mtb Grown over. Looks like it was built really well but has experienced a little bit of neglect. It could use a lot more riding and probably a little bit of maintenance. | Dry | view
May 23, 2026 @ 5:48am (America/Phoenix) May 23, 2026 | mtb Grown over. The trail is built really well but seems a little neglected. It needs a lot more riding and possibly a little maintenance. There's a bush/tree that has grown across the trail on the lower half the causes you to go off the trail. Will be super fun if it gets some love. | Dry | view
May 23, 2026 @ 5:48am (America/Phoenix) May 23, 2026 | mtb The trail is so overgrown in parts I'm basically just guessing where I'm going. It could use some clearing but honestly I wonder if it just doesn't get enough traffic. | Dry | view
Apr 3, 2026 @ 10:39am (America/Denver) Apr 3, 2026 | mtb | Dry | view
Nov 13, 2025 @ 5:33pm (America/Denver) Nov 13, 2025 | mtb 11/7/25 - climbed 3.5 miles up from Miner's Park to The Pocket trail intersection. The lower 1.5 miles of the trail burned (Silver King fire 2024) with some parts torched and damage light in other areas. Lots of downed trees. 30? Some are bigger trees and/or fell along the trail. The fire also damaged tread in places. Above the burn area trail is narrow, overgrown and steep so I pushed much of that too. It is hard to follow as you approach the Pocket. | Dry | view
Nov 13, 2025 @ 5:26pm (America/Denver) Nov 13, 2025 | mtb Loose/rocky but rideable if you've got the legs to climb it. | Ideal | view
Nov 13, 2025 @ 5:21pm (America/Denver) Nov 13, 2025 | mtb 11/6/25 - rode Skyline from Gold Hill Tr to N Fork City Creek. There was 4-8" of crusty snow on the trail in places and a few trees down. | Variable | view
Nov 13, 2025 @ 5:12pm (America/Denver) Nov 13, 2025 | mtb 11/6/25 - Overgrown and/or rutted in a few places. There were 15-20 downed trees between Upper Ten Mile and Gold Hill. You'll be pushing up anyways so none of that was a big deal. There was some snow near the very top. | Ideal | view

Nov 13, 2025 @ 5:06pm (America/Denver) Nov 13, 2025 | mtb In good shape. You can drive a 2wd car on this road most of the way. | Ideal | view
Nov 13, 2025 @ 4:53pm (America/Denver) Nov 13, 2025 | mtb Rode this trail 11/6/25, accessed via Ten Mile / Gold Hill / Skyline. The top of the trail is hard to follow until you drop into the canyon bottom. I had to drop the bike a few times and hunt around, especially at switchback turns. Didn't count trees down but probably about 30. There was also some erosion damage lower down but nothing that was hard to get over except for the one chute pictured. Go downstream a bit and there is an easier climb out of the creek bed. Do not recommend doing your first ride on this trail in the dark like I did hahaha. | Dry | view
Sep 30, 2025 @ 10:04am (America/Denver) Sep 30, 2025 | mtb too many downed trees. I lost count. should have brought my saw. great trail though. not lots of activity on it I think. | Unknown | view
Aug 14, 2025 @ 6:23am Aug 14, 2025 | mtb Mtb around Eagle Point. Way fun! | Ideal | view
Aug 1, 2025 @ 1:36pm Aug 1, 2025 | mtb epic long loop on a bike. This is old school mtb'n, 98% ridable but some sections have to hike but just short steep sections. I cut a few downed logs with my mini chain saw, but a few remain. Each year takes some cutting to open trail up, but the scenery is unreal, usually see elk, deer, turkeys and almost no humans. | Dry | view
Aug 1, 2025 @ 1:36pm Aug 1, 2025 | mtb amazing section, no tree's down and all ridable except a couple steep short climbs. | Unknown | view
Aug 1, 2025 @ 1:36pm Aug 1, 2025 | mtb Some downed logs but cut most of them, only a few remain. Great section | Dry | view

Nov 8, 2023 @ 4:39am Nov 8, 2023 | mtb Sweet bench cuts to the trail crew! Super fun trails. Love the big boulders on the corners to keep you honest! | Ideal | view
Oct 22, 2023 @ 12:20pm Oct 22, 2023 | mtb I could not see this trail near the weather tank. Maybe they started building it and never finished. I hiked up to the canal and there is not an easy way to cross. | Dry | view
Sep 15, 2023 @ 10:41am Sep 15, 2023 | mtb Very dry after the race, moon dust | Very Dry | view
Aug 3, 2023 @ 5:40am Aug 3, 2023 | mtb Beautiful trail that's buried under a few years worth of downed trees. Difficult even to hike until the FS or someone clears it | Dry | view
Jul 22, 2023 @ 11:42pm Jul 22, 2023 | mtb Very difficult to find the beginning of this single track, watch closely. Lots of downed trees obstructing the trail. | Dry | view
Jul 22, 2023 @ 11:38pm Jul 22, 2023 | mtb There are lots of big trees that have fallen over the trail. Passable, but lots of bike lifting to get through. Also some wet areas, but passable. | Dry | view
Jul 22, 2023 @ 11:36pm Jul 22, 2023 | mtb The end of this is washed out and unable to connect to Old Highway 153. Trail needs significant repair in order to pass. | Dry | view
Jul 11, 2023 @ 7:29pm Jul 11, 2023 | mtb Nice trail. Great ride in evening when sun going down. Smooth and easy uphill climb. | Ideal | view
Jul 11, 2023 @ 7:29pm Jul 11, 2023 | mtb Pretty good. Semi-flowy. Some trees. Few jumps and rocks. Nothing exciting, but nice mellow ride | Ideal | view

Dec 10, 2021 @ 11:18pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Rode this on my dual sport moto Aug 2020. Pretty nice trail though there are a few short steep climbs that were a little tough. Otherwise it was a nice ride though some meadows and the trees. Connects from Hwy 153 up to Big John Flat. No downed trees. OHVs keep the trail clear of those. | Ideal | view
Dec 10, 2021 @ 10:57pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Rode the southern half in Aug 2021 and the whole trail in Aug 2020. Awesome backcountry riding. Northern half has a few climbs and descents that are rocky and challenging. Nice views. The southern half has a main climb and descent to the Paiute ATV trail. Connects into Hi Hunt trail. Just a couple downed trees each time. You can loop it climbing back up via Big John Flat or other trails depending how big a ride you want. | Ideal | view
Dec 10, 2021 @ 10:52pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Rode this trail in August of 2020 and 2021. Fun ride both times. Say hi to the horses along the fence up top. Trail is a bit hard to follow from there to where it drops in. You have to go left a bit from the fence line. Once on it, it's fairly easy to follow although there are alternate lines in a few places. A couple trees down this year. Some challenging rock sections and switchbacks. Down low there were some washouts at stream crossings that you have to carry the bike across. Not a big deal. In 2020 I tried to follow the trail proper all the way out. It disappears into a meadow and you have to bushwack a bit. Instead, take the ATV trail. Much faster and easier. Wouldn't want to climb this trail. | Variable | view
Dec 10, 2021 @ 10:46pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Rode this N to S on 8/17/21. Very raw, seldom used trail. Easy to follow, but has some steep parts in both directions including one short section heading south that was difficult to get up with the bike. Then there is a longer climb to a saddle that was mostly hike a bike. After that, easy riding to join the main Skyline NRT. Great adventure riding and the main way to do a loop from Bullion Meadow. There were a couple trees down. | Unknown | view
Dec 10, 2021 @ 10:39pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Climbed this trail 8/17/21. Starts off rocky and technical along a stream. Then emerges into an open draw. Nice climbing until the intersection of Jim Reed Tr. | Unknown | view
Dec 10, 2021 @ 10:30pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Rode this trail from Lousy Jim to Duncan Creek-Bosman on 8-17-21. After climbing up a steep slope that is hard to follow in a few spots (look for cut out logs and gaps in brush) the trail enters a burned area on the ridge top. It is harder to follow up here with quite a few downed trees. When I rode this in late Aug 2020 all downed trees had been cut out. Not so this year. Following cut out logs is the easiest way to stay on track through here. Also look for blazes which are normally 4 vertical saw marks, either on standing dead trees or on downed trees. This burned section is fairly short, don't let it deter you. Great adventure riding. There is some hike a bike in either direction. | Unknown | view
Dec 10, 2021 @ 9:52pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Rode Blue Lake Tr from S to N on 8/17/21. On the climb up there are lots of trees that have been down for a while you can ride over, and a few newer ones you have to lift the bike over. Climb is in good shape overall. Dropping down to Blue Lake there are a couple of big trees down blocking the trail. Easy to divert around. Also a couple small ones down you have to lift the bike over. Crews don't seem to get to all these trees until late summer so I may have just been early. Overall the trail was in great shape. It's a little hard to follow at the north end but just aim for the road. Trying to pick it up there heading south, look for cut out logs and chainsaw marks with 4 vertical lines. | Unknown | view
Dec 10, 2021 @ 8:51pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Hike a biked up to the Delano Peak summit on 8/27/20. No issues, just steep trail all the way up. Was planning to connect down to The Pocket and Bullion Meadow but lost the trail on the saddle just east of Delano. Returned this year and road down Bullion to The Pocket and connected to Poison Creek heading east. Trail from there east was raw and in a couple spots hard to follow. Was able to pick it up easy enough, and after that it was easy to follow all the way to the Alunite Ridge Trailhead. Trail was in pretty good shape almost the whole way aside from some eroson in spots. There is some steep climbing to get to Alunite TH, likely hike a bike for most, but the trail tread was in pretty good shape for the most part. | Ideal | view
Dec 10, 2021 @ 8:44pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Rode from the upper TH connecting to The Pocket trail on 8/16/21. Trail was clear and easy to follow. No downed trees on the section that I rode. Mostly descending, partially in trees and the rest in meadows. Nice trail. I'd like to explore further but it is quite committing as you have to climb back out or complete a loop. | Unknown | view
Dec 10, 2021 @ 8:40pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb Rode this trail 8/16/21. Raw backcountry riding at its best. Connecting from Bullion Meadow to Poison Creek there is some steep forested climbing to a ridge top, then some descending and traversing to join PC. Trail was in pretty good shape with decent bench, minimal downed trees. After getting to the top of the first major climb and descending, the trail traverses and becomes more raw and overgrown. Had to look for it in one or two spots but overall it was easy to follow. | Unknown | view
Nov 21, 2021 @ 12:18pm Nov 21, 2021 | mtb Rode this trail Aug 2020. Around 100 downed aspen trees on the traverse around after the main descent. Also sections of deep mud where cattle have torn up the trail at seeps. Otherwise tread was in pretty good shape. Nice views. | Variable | view

Aug 17, 2020 @ 8:59pm Aug 17, 2020 | mtb Tree down that cuts off entire first or second switchback. Loose and not maintained. | Dry | view
Aug 3, 2020 @ 3:42pm Aug 3, 2020 | mtb It's true this trail doesn't get much use, but I think it's a great trail. The views are awesome too! There are several fallen trees, but other trails in the area have recently been cleared so maybe this one will be too. The mosquitos in the morning were thick. Apply repellant. There's some minor hike-a-bike where it's steep and loose but it's mostly blue intermediate riding. I like it. | Ideal | view
Aug 1, 2020 @ 9:26am Aug 1, 2020 | mtb Sagebrush is getting overgrown near the Doctor Creek campground. | Ideal | view
Jul 26, 2020 @ 3:49pm Jul 26, 2020 | mtb Right after a rain storm, gave it an hour and it was good to go with only a few soft spots and puddles. | Variable | view

Jun 22, 2020 @ 9:40am Jun 22, 2020 | mtb A number of large downed trees above the meadow in the middle, below the ridge proper. I rode up it to make a loop from Hi-Hunt, it's a pretty tough grind. (The connector trail from Hi-Hunt is barely there FYI). Would like to try it downhill next time. The upper aspen ridge is lovely. | Very Dry | view
Jun 20, 2020 @ 3:13pm Jun 20, 2020 | mtb Hard to find the start of the trail in the meadow. Also a little confusing at the end. GPS is very helpful. One creek crossing is severely washed out, but mostly the trail was in good shape. One down tree I think, otherwise it was logged out. Clearly does not see much traffic though. A couple techy rock sections, fun trail. | Very Dry | view
Jun 20, 2020 @ 3:13pm Jun 20, 2020 | mtb This connection is basically non-existent in the meadow, use your GPS. Steep and loose on the hillside. Some down trees too. Not recommended, but do what you gotta do. | Very Dry | view
Jun 20, 2020 @ 10:14am Jun 20, 2020 | hike Just 2 short patches of snow, which will be gone very soon I am sure. Lovely hike with some flowers blooming. | Ideal | view
Sep 6, 2019 @ 7:51am Sep 6, 2019 | mtb Roudy and wild! Definitely tests you techy riding skills. It is possible to clean the whole thing. Beavers felled one tree across the trail along the lake shore | Dry | view
Sep 3, 2019 @ 9:28am Sep 3, 2019 | mtb Rode the whole thing south to north. Few downed trees. Tricky to follow at times but that's part of the adventure. Rough and natural, just the way I like it! No this isn't a nice groomed bike trail but not everything should or needs to be. | Dry | view
Sep 2, 2019 @ 7:31pm Sep 2, 2019 | mtb Broken wood/ttf structure. Lots of just random broken wood along this trail. It's not very trafficked. You can get to the southern end from a dirt road that comes up the east side of the ridge. I don't know how to get to the dirt road but a bit of map research should help you find a way. After the first little section of steep climbs it quickly turns into a wilderness trail. Overall, it's rideable just not very much fun. | Unknown | view
Sep 2, 2019 @ 7:21pm Sep 2, 2019 | mtb Overgrown vegetation Stayed at Fish Lake over the weekend. I was excited to hit some of the trails in the area. Went to start the trail at the north end and it quickly disappeared. Picked it back up further up the hill and quickly figured it was an old livestock / animal trail at best. Looks like it has just been used by horseback riders and/or ATVers. So, I suggest doing yourself a favor and not going to look for this trail. I consider it non-ridable. | Very Dry | view
Aug 4, 2019 @ 2:14pm Aug 4, 2019 | mtb Terribly washed out on downhill section. Trail is basically decimated at bottom. In need of serious work. | Variable | view
Aug 4, 2019 @ 2:13pm Aug 4, 2019 | mtb Trail is in halfway decent condition. One super washed out switchback is barely rideable. Could use some attention for sure. Still a fun ride. | Variable | view
Jun 23, 2019 @ 3:33pm Jun 23, 2019 | mtb The middle of the trail is completely non-rideable. You have to walk your bike while getting West Nile virus. | Dry | view

May 25, 2018 @ 2:32pm May 25, 2018 | mtb 2 trees down, both in pretty high speed places | Dry | view
Nov 2, 2017 @ 7:42pm Nov 2, 2017 | mtb Some downed trees and numerous deadfall on trail. Tried to get most off. Unable to move one tree. | Dry | view
Nov 2, 2017 @ 7:40pm Nov 2, 2017 | mtb Flowy downhill with a few jumps. | Dry | view
Nov 2, 2017 @ 7:39pm Nov 2, 2017 | mtb | Dry | view
Oct 29, 2017 @ 4:09pm Oct 29, 2017 | mtb One large downed tree, lots of leaves making it slick in spots. Tough ride up for an out and back. 2 spots are hole a bike in my opinion. At the top for the last mile roughly you follow ski resort service roads and are not on single track. | Dry | view |
