The Mt Fleecer region is mostly Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. It has many mountain peaks above 8000ft, the highest being Mt Fleecer (Elev. 9436ft). Part of the Continental Divide Trail (CDT) passes through this region going around the summit of Burnt Mountain (Elev. 8383ft). There is not a lot of singletrack in this area, even the CDT is mostly doubletrack. There are plenty of opportunities for solitude however as the area is vast and not very busy. The trails can be remote and rugged and offer an "off the beaten path" type of riding experience.
