Wow. INSANELY rocky (like Tunnel Trail in Santa Barbara, rocky). Lot's of hike a bike....insanely horrible. Cherry Creek Road climb is ok, but everything else...bites. Do Chorro Grande and Boulder instead...wayyyy more worth it and fun. | ||

| Dry | Jun 9, 2024 @ 9:24pm Jun 9, 2024 | For mountain biking, one would ride in reverse: up Cherry Creek and left onto Ortega Trail back to the 33. However, after Cherry Creek which is an easy climb, expect overgrown vegetation significantly impeding fun factor, but the landscape as my buddy stated is mostly like Tunnel Trail in Santa Barbara. HOWEVER these rocks are extremely loose and large with soft dirt underneath, waiting to lodge your front tire and yank it out of the bars out of your hands. To top it off, much of this is hike a bike. Even with a moto, this would wear you thin, on an ebike it's push push push as there is little traction to climb through the moto torn track. The last 3 miles are fine as long as the vegetation is cut back, but alas not something I would climb to experience, let along 9 miles of it, and I LOVE Tunnel and Cold Springs in SB. | ||
