SaveA riding area located between the St Joe National Forest and the Clearwater National Forest. Palouse Divide is composed of many motor friendly single track and double track trails connecting miles of forestry roads. Three trails descend from Palouse Divide to Giant White Pine Campground. These three trails, Three Trees Butte #26, East Fork of Meadow Creek Trail #224 (AKA Piah Creek) and Beason Meadows Trail #228, are the most commonly used trails in the region. Primitive camping sites are located all over the region.
Forestry companies own a bunch of land in the area, but the overall region is administered by the national forests.
The Palouse Divide Nordic Ski Area has approximately 20 miles of marked trails maintained by the club in partnership with the US Forest Service and the Palouse Divide Lodge. The Palouse Divide Nordic Ski Club is an Idaho non-profit organization existing for the sole purpose of maintaining the Nordic ski trails. We are a group of volunteers and can always use more help.
