Located just west of Sisters, the Pederson Ridge Trail System is a classic Central Oregon cross-country network known for its fast flow, accessible terrain, and scenic high-desert forest setting. Built primarily on gently rolling terrain, the system offers a welcoming mix of smooth singletrack, short punchy climbs, and rewarding descents—making it ideal for beginners, intermediates, and anyone looking to rack up miles without sustained elevation.

The network forms a series of well-connected loops totaling roughly 18–20 miles, allowing riders to tailor routes from quick spins to longer endurance rides. Most trails are rated green to blue, with a consistent XC character and minimal technical obstacles, though occasional roots, sandy patches, and loose-over-hardpack corners keep things interesting.

Pederson Ridge is best known for its flow—particularly on the east side, where longer descending sections and smoother tread create a fun, rhythm-based ride experience. Climbs are generally gradual and manageable, making the area a great choice for building fitness or introducing newer riders to singletrack riding.

Set among open ponderosa pine forest with views toward the Cascade Range, the trails offer a distinctly Central Oregon feel—dry, dusty in late summer, and hero dirt in spring and fall. The area is multi-use, so expect to share the trails with hikers, runners, and occasionally equestrians.

Maintained by the Sisters Trail Alliance, Pederson Ridge is a cornerstone of the Sisters riding scene and a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike looking for fast, fun, and approachable singletrack.
