SaveHoop Hole is a fun backcountry ride that is not too far out of Roanoke There is a parking area with a kiosk. The climb is about 4 miles, 2,000 feet. Not the hardest climb in the world, but not the easiest. Towards the end of the climb there are some pretty technical rock gardens that anyone without trials skills will walk. The descent is 4 miles has some great technical features and fast sections. At the end you will be able to right (the way you came up) or left, both will dump you back out the parking lot. This route goes left which has some more tech side hill stuff and a lot of creek crossings. Long descent, fast sections, tech, and session-able stuff, Hoop Hole is a really fun and well rounded ride in terms of skill building

Many hike-a-bike creek crossings and some very narrow bench cut. I recommend checking this section out at least once and deciding if you'd like to ride it in the future. Personally, I take the Hoop Hole Connector and go down the that is...

This is the upper part of the climb when doing the full snowman loop. This climb has some steep pitches and some pretty technical spots. There's hike-a-bike towards the top except for master trials experts. The hollers also get battered...
