        Ross Dam features some great trails for riders from beginners through to intermediate riders.

        There is some beautiful scenery to be found out there, in particular the view from the top of the quarry is amazing

        Access is prohibited for General Public. The trails are adjacent to the town's drinking water supply.

        As a special privilege for Rockwheelers Mountain Bike Club members and registered participants at their races/club rides, access is permitted for riding the trails, under strict conditions.

        Popular Ross River Dam Mountain Biking Trails

        Ride up onto the balcony and look down on everyone. Trail traverses one of the tiers carved out of the old quarry, used to construct the outer walls of Ross River Dam. Spectacular views over Lake Ross and afternoon sunsets.

        When Gary Patterson was building it, he thought someone was having fun with him by leaving a on the track. Only was he to very quickly reaslise that the snake was very, very real. This is a favourite descent for many Ross Dam riders.
