The Edmund L. Smith Preserve is the Kennebuck Conservation Trust's largest land holding. It forms part of the largest parcel of undeveloped near-coastal land in the Greater Portland area.

10+ miles of trails welcome mountain bikers, hikers and cross country skiers and snowshoers.

The preserve's trails range from very mild singletrack suitable for families or newer riders to highly technical but for the most part ridable singletrack.

Bobcat Ridege in the northern part of the preserve is by faar the most challenging. plenty of tight switchbacks and lots of large smooth rocks to ride over and on. The Brook Trail is short but challenging. especially if you ride it south to north.

Don't be put off by 10+ miles. Ride everything here and you'll have a very enjoyable day's riding. Then too it's possible to extend your ride by venturing off on some of the unmarked singletracks that you'll encounter.
