SaveKnown by locals and the Powder Mill Snowmobile club as "The Den", it is named for the minor peak Devil's Den. There are several named peaks - Devil's Den, Mount Bet, Mount Molly, and Caverly Mountain. The area is a network of old logging roads, class 6 town roads, and some natural forest trails. Mixture of town, forest industry, state, SELT, Green Acres Woodlands and private land. The recently established Collins Family Forest, made possible by the generous donation of 500+ acres by the Collins family, is owned and managed by Southeast Land Trust. Look for the most MTB friendly trails in this area. Signs encourage non motorized use throughout. At one time there was a local ATV club, but PMSC does all the trail work out here. This is old school 80's-90's MTB, before man-made and flow trails. Do not expect MTB specific trails, but the single track and downhills can be great on the MTB. Some trails are really washed out and eroded by the ATV's and not great for riding, only for getting from point A to B. The downhills off Caverly , Mount Molly , and Devil's den are fun, especially on a full suspension trail bike.
