Wahlfield Park is a Kent County Park with a growing mountain bike trail system. Most of the trails are hand-built by volunteers of the West Michigan Mountain Bike Alliance, but Dirt Artisans (Chad Irey) constructed a loop containing three downhill flow/jump trails in August of 2017. Perrin Brewing Company also helped by underwriting some of the cost of construction, so each downhill line is named after a beer from their IPA series.

The trail design is somewhat like a stacked loop system, where the basic loop takes about 15-20 minutes to ride, with small extensions on the side, Wild Onion, Woodchuck, Oxbow Loop, and the Perrin Flow Trails. These trails are all suitable for intermediate riders.

In the spring and fall, the trail is especially sensitive to rain due to the clay soil. Check out the WMMBA Trail Conditions page if you have questions, don't damage the trails by riding when very muddy.

Trail directions alternate based on the day of the week:

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday = Yellow Arrows, Clockwise
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday = Red Arrows, Counter Clockwise

Some sweet bench cut along the banks of Mill Creek that pops out into the meadow and then up to the flowy section through the old corn field. Rollers and berms for extra fun.

Just a nice ride through the old farm field. Enjoy the bridges over Mill Creek.
