Wingello State Forest has been reopened. A loop of singletrack is open south of Forest Camp - from "Everglades" to "Princess's Revenge" - and a new trailhead has been established adjacent to the exit from the loop. Unfortunately, the original Red Loop was devastated by the 2020 Morton bushfire, and due to remaining risks from dead trees, half of the singletrack has been permanently closed.

Highlands Trails are planning for the development of new trails in the vicinity of the remaining singletrack, and this site will be updated as any new trails are opened.

A firetrail loop from Forest Camp (the Blue Loop) will be re-established in the months to come, and once the firetrails linking the northern and southern portions of Wingello State Forest are reopened (still closed as of August 2023), a longer firetrail loop (the Yellow Loop) may also be re-established.
        Primary Trail Type: Cross-Country
        Land Status: State Forest
        Access Info:
        Forest Camp, Wingello State Forest
        Disclaimer:
Due to the risk that dead limbs may fall during periods of strong winds, Highlands Trails recommends that the Wingello mountain bike trails are NOT ridden during periods when wind speeds exceed 30km/h. Check the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) website for the latest weather observations at Moss Vale for an indication of this.
