Description:
Descended from black rock mountain trail 7 miles along fish creek. First two miles were rideable and sometimes flowy. Trail degraded until we lost it about 4 miles down. Turned into a hike-a-bike wilderness adventure with over a dozen hub-high water crossings. Slogged through mud, marsh and downed trees.
Game trail or bike trail, they both looked the same at this point. We dodged pine-cone minefields and laughed our way through the madness. We were so excited to find a path that lasted for more than 200m, we didn’t realize we missed the exit to Sherman pass. So we doubled back a 1/2 mile and hiked over a ridge to sweet, sweet pavement.
I suggest leaving your bike at home and borrow a horse.
(Trail photo was planned route, not GPS track)
