Oct 18, 2025 @ 4:26pm (America/Los_Angeles) Oct 18, 2025 | Rode 1.5 miles from South Coldwater Trail junction to the saddle. Pretty overgrown as you approach the saddle. | Ideal | view
Oct 18, 2025 @ 8:56am (America/Los_Angeles) Oct 18, 2025 | Running great! | Ideal | view
Jun 2, 2025 @ 7:58pm Jun 2, 2025 | NWTA did lots of maintenance. Small section didn’t get brushed. After the trail intersection, maintenance done in 2024 still looks good going up. | Dry | view
Jun 2, 2025 @ 7:57pm Jun 2, 2025 | NWTA did lots of maintenance! Go ride it! | Dry | view
Jun 2, 2025 @ 9:23am Jun 2, 2025 | NWTA did a lots of brushwork and the trail is now clear | Dry | view
Oct 12, 2024 @ 9:23am Oct 12, 2024 | Could use a trim, but it goes | Variable | view
Aug 1, 2024 @ 4:58pm Aug 1, 2024 | This report only covers from South Coldwater to the Boundry trail. The Bigfoot 200 trail run group has some some brush work on the worst of brush but there are still some brushy areas. Some hike a bike but the views on this trail are worth it. | Dry | view
Aug 1, 2024 @ 4:56pm Aug 1, 2024 | A lot of brush on the lower part of the trail but otherwise good to go. | Dry | view
Sep 9, 2023 @ 4:55pm Sep 9, 2023 | I rode from the South Coldwater Trail 230A junction south-east to the saddle. Trail was pretty narrow and overgrown in many places. Not an easy trail, but the views are worth it | Dry | view
Sep 9, 2023 @ 1:41am Sep 9, 2023 | Trail is open, but you have to park at Hummocks trailhead and bike about 1 mi up the road to the trail. | Dry | view
Sep 4, 2023 @ 3:40pm Sep 4, 2023 | Overgrown vegetation. Extreme hike a bike for most of the climb. this is not the way up. should be listed as hiking trail only unless you're only riding out a few miles on the west side of the lake and turning around. Access via south cold creek trail to boundary trail. | Ideal | view

Jun 11, 2022 @ 6:14pm Jun 11, 2022 | Trail work last on 6/5 brushing back the vegetation. | Dry | view
Jun 4, 2022 @ 8:54am Jun 4, 2022 | Trail work today. Cleared sides of the trail back and built up a section that had washed out. Rides good despite a few section of mud. | Ideal | view
Sep 4, 2021 @ 8:17am Sep 4, 2021 | Could use a trim in the shrubbery. | Very Dry | view
Jul 9, 2021 @ 9:10am Jul 9, 2021 | Loose but rideable. Several brushy grassy areas were a bit overgrown. | Dry | view
Jul 9, 2021 @ 9:07am Jul 9, 2021 | Rode here 06 July 2021. Very loose in some areas which made climbing very difficult. Nothing a little Hike-a-bike can’t overcome. Several areas with steep northern exposure were overgrown with berry bushes. Rough climb but great downhill. | Dry | view
Oct 17, 2020 @ 10:24pm Oct 17, 2020 | Rode the loop clockwise. This trail is narrow and there were a lot of hikers. At least five downed trees. Two skitchy erosion points near the beginning of the trail. Great Lake views. Nice waterfall. | Dry | view
Oct 17, 2020 @ 10:21pm Oct 17, 2020 | Rode cold water loop clockwise. The lower section of this Coldwater Trail is overgrown and so narrow in places as to be unrideable. I walked up so much of these two miles it was ridiculous. Wouldn’t do it again till some serious trail maintenance. | Dry | view
Oct 4, 2020 @ 4:07pm Oct 4, 2020 | Did the Coldwater Lake loop counterclockwise. Only rode lower 230A below the 230 intersection. Trail is pretty overgrown but still rideable in the down hill direction. Unfortunately, saw was in my other pack so could’nt get the downed tree. reporter | Variable | view
Sep 20, 2020 @ 8:59am Sep 20, 2020 | Some overgrown but still rideable. Large tree down blocking trail in lowest wooded section. But there was a volunteer crew out working on that tree, so probably a non-issue now. | Ideal | view
Sep 20, 2020 @ 8:59am Sep 20, 2020 | Large tree down blocking trail about halfway up the trail. | Wet | view
Sep 20, 2020 @ 8:59am Sep 20, 2020 | Multiple trees down blocking trail around the mid-point along the lake. | Wet | view
Sep 6, 2020 @ 7:24am Sep 6, 2020 | I rode this in conjunction with 211 and 230, to make a clockwise loop around Coldwater Lake. 211 and 230 both have significant overgrowth that obstructs much of the trail. There is less overgrowth on 230 A, but it is still heavy. If you're thinking of riding this, consider doing a short, out-and-back beginning at the south end of the trail, and riding up, then down, 230 A. The ride up will be challenging. Stop when you get to the clearing at the summit. The views from there are outstanding. It can be a little cool through the areas, given the elevation climbed. If you get curious, and ambitious, you're welcome to try continuing northwest towards 230; however, once you start running into heavy overgrowth, stop, and turn around. The overgrowth won't get better if you try to navigate through it. Again, the view at the top is awesome. The trail heading down, towards the parking lot on the south side of the lake, is pretty fun and in generally good shape; however, I can't say that the work you'll put into getting to that view or riding that downhill section is worth it right now. | Dry | view
Sep 6, 2020 @ 7:18am Sep 6, 2020 | Overgrown vegetation. I rode this in conjunction with 211 and 230 A to make a clockwise loop around Coldwater Lake, with the lake on my right. Of note, this report only pertains to the section of trail between those two. It's unrideable (sic). The overgrowth provides a near-complete obstruction of the trail, and, with the climbing, I walked the majority of it, which, in cycling shoes pushing a bike, was painful (more attacks by thorny bushes). I would strongly avoid trying to navigate this trail until next season, after the snowy season and pandemic (hopefully) have passed and the trail can get some maintenance. | Dry | view |
