If you're feeling ready to throw down some miles, this loop, featuring some brand new trails, is for you Be advised, Sedona miles feel like double your normal miles with punchy, technical riding. Starting from the AZ Cypress Trailhead, take AZ Cypress to Dawa Trail. Turn right to where it becomes Cockscomb and continue to the Aerie intersection. Climb Aerie, a fun, chill uphill, around the northwest side of Doe Mountain. Continue to where it links into Cockscomb again and head south towards Sedona's Western Gateway trails. Hit Outer Limits (on your right) and continue farther south through wide open DH to Last Frontier. This trail will hit you with some black diamond moves, a bit of exposure and some awesome views (option to keep it mellow by staying on Outer Limits). Reconnect with the lower Outer Limits. Be ready for a potential creek crossing as you hop across to the east side of the drainage and climb up towards Ledge-N-Airy. This trail gives you another dose of some tech and a bit of exposure as you link into Roundabout and Girdner. Climb Girdner all the way back to where you started and enjoy the awesome views westward of Sedona's Sycamore Canyon Wilderness and Casner Mountain. Return to the TH via AZ Cypress. This ride will likely take you 3-4 hours, so be prepared with plenty of water and nutrition. *Bail our option via Centennial to Cultural Park Pl. to Hwy 89A if you're feeling crunched for time.
