A big shuttle ride from the top of Skalkaho Pass to beers in Corvallis at Fins Tap Room ( A shameless plug for a local business that I have no personal stake in. We believe in supporting our community.) Just setting up the shuttle is a challenge and so far no in the valley provides the service. it will be at least an hour from Corvallis to the Crystal Creek Campground where you will start, so see that in mind. Drive up and over Skakaho Pass a couple of miles to the campground. The trail starts across the road as a double track that quickly becomes single track. This will be a pleasant climb up the Crystal Creek Trail to the Bitterroot Rock Creek Divide Trail #313. Push and ride to the north. Hope you find the fork to Palisades. ( If you want ride out to Dome Shaped Mountain and then back if you want some bonus miles) Drop down Palisades climb and push some more. The trail through this section is an old ATV trail that we are clearing narrow to encourage a return to its singletrack state. if you have route rinding you will end up at Willow Creek. If not, well I guess are having an adventure. Whoop and holler down Willow and cruise the dirt and eventually pavement back to Corvallis and enjoy your beer and nachos.
