The trail is in great shape. A few muddy spots. Some early morning freeze/thaw. The lakes are stunning. If you park in the upper parking lot, a 4WD vehicle with high clearance is recommended. The upper parking lot is small. Parking in the upper lot takes about 1.8 to 2 miles off the trip one-way.
