The Remarkable Epic Trail route is the premier South Australian backcountry experience and explores remote sections of the park.
A truly unique experience, this route includes 1,300 vertical metres of climbing and descending, taking most riders at least 4-6 hours to complete. It is not recommended to depart after 12pm if you plan to
ride the full Remarkable Epic Trail.
Be prepared for your ride by ensuring that you are physically capable, suitably skilled, and carry appropriate supplies for a big day out in the park.

All Difficult features on this trail have Intermediate options.

Check the local forecast before departure, but be aware that weather in Mount Remarkable
National Park can change rapidly, and conditions on the range may be very different to Melrose.
Phone reception may be limited on the trail.

Emergency location numbers are installed on trail marking throughout the park and it is
recommended that you download the emergencyplus app.
There are toilets at Grays Hut with water for hand washing. This water is untreated and not suited for consumption. It is recommended to supply your own toilet paper.
Carry food and water for your whole journey.
It is highly recommended that trail users carry a basic first aid kit, repair tools and spares for your
bike and extra layers of clothing.
This trail offers a wilderness experience including exposed trail edges and steep side slopes.
It is important to know and understand the trail difficulty rating system.
Ensure that you ride to the conditions, and within your abilities.

Detailed Description
Remarkable Epic Trail is a 24 mile popular intermediate route located near Melrose. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 6 trails. This route climbs 3,651 ft with a max elevation of 3,144 ft then descends -3,632 ft.
