Located between Georgetown and Stamping Ground, KY, Skullbuster is a good collection of trails to showcase some technical skills. Rocks, roots and other natural landscapes work in conjunction with berms, switchbacks, and log crossings. With all trails being linked together, you can get a decent workout by going either clockwise, or counter-clockwise from the start of the green connector trail. All trails are well-marked.
Horse trails do also occupy the Skullbuster area, but are separate from the bike trails. Because of this, you'll see intersections marked so all trail users should know which direction to proceed. One trail that enjoys a good relationship with local equestrians, be respectful if you happen to cross paths.
Follow this route from the parking lot down Stockdell Road. Proceed past the gate, and follow the road to the green connector trailhead.
