The IBEX route starts you off from the MTO Trails main gate and takes up the famous Irish Trail climb. This is a gradual but scenic climb that will take you up to the top of Irish 4.

From there it will be a right turn onto contour 2 giving you time to catch your breath and meander along the jeep track, taking in the incredible scenery.

Your next trail will be Red Phoenix where you will drop down Red Phoenix 2 and 1.

Left onto the Circle loop and straight onto the Valley Trail which helps draw you to the South side of the valley.

You then climb Bosluis 1 and onto some easy climbing jeep track turning you up to the Upper Firehut Trail.

This scenic trail draws you along to the Quarry Trail Head.

From here you will drop into the flowing Firehut 2 and 1 trails that will take you back to the gate.

The route is 17.89km in total, climbing 608m with a max elevation of 501m then descending -610m.
