The Prado route starts you off from the MTO Trails main gate and takes up the famous Irish Trail climb. This is a gradual but scenic climb that will take you up to the top of Irish 4.
From there it will be a right turn onto contour 2 giving you time to catch your breath and meander along the jeep track taking in the incredible scenery.
A short jeep track climb up to the Pieke Trail Head. Catch your breath, have some water and then enjoy the oldest trail in the network, Neverending Story, a flowing scenic trail that will grace you with spectacular valley views.
From there you will shoot through the Valley Trail 1 and then crossing the valley over the middle bridge.
You then climb Bosluis 1 and onto some easy climbing jeep track to Firehut 1 Trail.
Flowing down Firehut and back onto the Circle Loop to draw you back to the gate along the jeep tracks.
The route is 19.28km in total climbing 657m with a max elevation of 630m then descending -658 m.
