This is a longer ride and a bit more challenging, which is why it's rated as HARD. Unless you're in phenomenal shape, this is a taxing ride. Start at the end of Northern Ave, where there is plenty of parking. The ride takes you through some of the most picturesque parts of the park with minimal climbing. If you're into fast, flowy trails, this one's for you. It's mostly wide open trail with chunky sections sprinkled in to keep things interesting.

Mule Deer Staging area parking lot is closed for constructions till August 2026 (according to signs). Both Ford Canyon and Mesquite connection trails are closed between the main road and the parking lot. You can access the Mule Deer trail by going to the parking lot before the staging area and take the small access trail at the bottom of the big hill. Unknown if the Maricopa Trail access gate is open.
