You can ride this route either way. I rated it as moderate for "Physical Rating", although, for me (middle-aged & somewhat-out-of-shape) it is a serious physical challenge to climb 1350 ft. in 3 1/2 miles (it's not steep, just a constant climb). There are several different options, so you can ride virtually all single-track or mostly dirt road depending on your preference. The black diamond sections are easily bypassed by taking different routes. There is seldom a ride when I do not see deer and/or wild turkeys...I rode through the middle of a gang of turkeys on one ride. At times (at least in the past) cattle are in the area...just about t-boned one once). There are a lot of horse riders that use the trails too, so be prepared for them and respect the horses.
Detailed Description
Yellow Fork Canyon is a 7 mile popular intermediate route located near Herriman Utah. This mountain bike only route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 10 trails. This route climbs 1,366 ft with a max elevation of 7,006 ft then descends -1,490 ft.
