This is the most popular trail in Helena, so mountain bike use is uphill only Please be courteous of other trail users. 1906 Trail is the fastest way to the top of Mount Helena. Trail tread is wide and spacious, so there is plenty of room to share with hikers and runners. While steep, it's not a bad climb, and offers good views. The trail is rated black due to the grade, but the tread is smooth.
