The trail is 2.7 miles long and is one of the best intermediate skill level trails in Sedona. The east end starts at the Boynton Canyon parking lot which a lot of the time is full due to its popularity. The west end of the trail starts from a huge paved parking lot called Aerie.

This trail is routed mainly on dirt and some sections have chunks of rock mixed in with dirt which makes paying attention important on this ride. From the east end the trail weaves up and down through a beautiful red soil drainage that increase the fun factor of the trail.

After doing the climb to the high point from either direction the trail rips to the next intersection of your intended ride.
