You can ride accross the top of the old Anaconda dam to access a steep return to the trailhead. The trail can be a little faint at the start. Just ride along the north-west edge and it will be come more distinct. This trail is intermediate because of the descent at the end. The dam abruptly ends and steep descent is required to get down.
This is an alternative to the pavement that is near the Blue Peak RD trailhead.
