Alternative way up to UCSC instead of Bay, through a ravine with lots of Eucalyptus. Small section at the lower end is mud with some steps and a bridge and recommended hike-a-bike. Rest is either paved or good condition dirt/gravel. Used a lot by walkers, especially with dogs.
Enter next to the park (not through the park) in between the fence and the walls behind the houses at the lower end. At the upper end, runs next to University Terrace park on the west side.
Much of trail is road width and hard/paved surface. Narrow trail and bridges at southern edge. Bridge has steps. Gate at top (width unknown).
