This trail if ridden on a bike is uni-directional top to bottom. It starts just below Camp 9 firestation on the right as you ascend. As of September 28th of 2024, the trail has been recently serviced and is free and clear in most areas but there are a few washed out sections that require hike a biking. There is a fallen tree that serves as a bridge..take this at your own risk as it can be slippery. Once you are past the narrow sketchy spots, the trail has moments where you can open it up...a little. This trail is steep and requires you to keep your speed in check. Great loop when combined with Santa Clara Divide Rd. Could be 4 stars if the washed out areas are addressed.
