Beaver Ponds is one of the better known trails in the Butte area has seen some revisions to make it more user friendly to the chagrin of long time locals. A fast smooth piece of singletrack through lodgepole pine and aspen crossing open parks. It links to the Blacktail Ridge Trail and also provides a link from this to the CDT. By incorporating Hwy 2 a fun loop can be made in either direction using the CDT, just be careful of traffic.
