This is an old double track that does not allow full size vehicles. The track is wide with a few steep sections. The climb ends at a meadow where you can access the Forest Service Perimeter and Boundary trails as well as the track down Beach Hollow to Sunnyside.
The official parking area is about 3/4 mile, from the start of the trail, down Bald Eagle way (a gravel/graded road), by the Portneuf river.
Steep sections with roots & rocks.
