Brown Bear trail and this south end of Black Bear trail make a nice loop. The north end of Black Bear trail is smoother and wider. The south end, which is narrower and has more roots, makes a few crossings of cross country ski trails (the ski trails are pretty wide and smooth by comparison), so just proceed straight through all of those intersections

Access Info

Pedal out the double track ski trails from the Hilltop Chalet to the end right before the short steep hill that the ski trail takes to intersect the river. The trail starts just on the left of the hill in a little grove of alders. The trail is slightly hard to make out in the middle of summer but its there.
