Upper Black Mountain contains the Iconic views riders and hikers seek. In 2021 the section of Upper Black Mountain from Turkey Pen Gap Trail to the intersection with middle black on Maxwell Cove Road (Pressley Gap) was rerouted making the trail sustainable for years to come. The reroute on this section of trail will surely will have the Pisgah character in no time at all.
