The Black Snake trail at Smithfield Mountain Bike Park is a challenging black-rated trail known for its technical difficulty. It features a grinding, technical climb up a jagged exposed edge ridge followed by an eye-widening, fast, and thrilling descent.
The trail is renowned for steep pinchy climb at times dry loose, rocky surfaces, demanding advanced riding skills. It is one of the more difficult trails in the park, offering serious challenges with steepness, obstacles and varied terrain, making it suitable for highly experienced riders. The descent is fast flowy tight corners and optional jumps for those handling with speed.
Trail tends to be drier at the top and the surface can surprise you in the dry - take care to ride to the conditions.
