Update 5-2022 Gold Bar Rim Singletrack has been repainted in Orange dots to improve dot visibility and improve route finding along the rim.
Gold Bar Rim Singletrack (formerly Blue Dot) is painted with ORANGE DOTS
This trail is one of Moab's most technically challenging trails. This 3.8 miles (total mileage to Portal Trail) of trail traverses Gold Bar Rim overlooking the Moab valley and is very strenuous both up and downhill, with mandatory drops, ledges over 12" high and high cliff exposure along the route. No bail out option is available and the 4x4 roads in the area are more difficult and strenuous. Be sure your prepared with plenty of food and water before starting along this route, and stay on the singletrack marked with ORANGE dots.
The Goldbar to Portal route is recommended for advanced riders with strong fitness only.
