The Burfield Quad is the longest fixed-grip lift in Canada, coming in at nearly 3 kilometres. As a result, it takes close to half an hour to ride this lift in its entirety. The track that this lift runs on has hosted chairlifts since the 1960s. The present lift was constructed in 1997 and has a mid station around three quarters of the way up. Due to its large length, chairs and towers are very far apart from each other.
