    CAL FIRE

Buzzard Lagoon is best ridden on a cross / gravel bike, as it is "just a fire road", and it takes you out of (or into) the great single track riding available at the Soquel Demo Forest. BUT - on a cross bike it offers a really spectacular view of the Monterey Bay about halfway down and it's got little to no traffic. As a climb, it gets pretty steep in a couple places but it evens out for a bit in between all the steep stuff. A good gravel / cross loop is to start in down in Corralitos at the Sausage Market and make this a loop with Eureka Canyon Road. Its about an 18 mile loop.

This trail is unsanctioned.
