This is one my favorite hikes in the park. It is short, but the miles are difficult. The first little stretch is mostly a sandy hike through a wash around the bend. Once you get to the little canyon the fun begins. The trail is made up of multiple slickrock sections, short sandy washes, and staircases. The staircases are basically strategically placed rocks, that make up well planned out stairs. There are a couple spots where the slick rock is steep with a bit of exposure, but the rock is like sandpaper and provides great grip. The rock formations are very interesting and unique.

When you get to the end of the hike you can climb up to the right onto a big rock slab. Follow the rock slab out to the vista point. The Vista point is a great view of Las Vegas and the surrounding Calico Hills
