Also referred to as Mill D South Fork. This is a spectacular trail with a lot of history. The private property signs are from old mining claims, and there has been access issues in the pass. Just keep to the trial, and enjoy a view of the old mining ruins, but don't explore them. The trail is pretty sustained and steep. The trail continues all the way to the pass, but is considerably more difficult than the main trail.
Note: This trail is not in Wilderness but the USFS has designated it as Hike Only
