The Cardwell Range Trail follows old logging tracks and makes for an exciting wilderness riding experience if you can organise a shuttle. The trail crosses a number of creeks, you will get wet. Wait-a-while is prevalent and the hanging tendrils can tear you off your bike, be warned. Stinging trees and fallen timber can be a nuisance if the trail has not been cleared recently. There is a side trail to climb Major's mountain (hiking only). This trail is listed as Blue on the Parks information, but due to the location, degraded surface and flora hazards, it's definitely a black.
