This is the lower section of the trail that is difficult, but not as much as a rocky climb as the upper part that continues all the way to the summit of American Fork Twin Peaks.

Once you get up to the top rocky area, the views are spectacular. You can see from Antelope Island to Utah Lake. The first part of the hike is mostly brush but as you get towards the top, there are some great places where you feel like you are going through tree tunnels.
