This trail is a section of the larger Chinook trail system. It can be shuttled, but the road is in poor condition. A high clearance vehicle is recommended. This segment is fantastic addition to the Tarbell loop ride if you choose to climb to the top of Silverstar. It's a low elevation alpine trail with great views, tight turns, super loose rock, and exposure thanks to the Yacolt Burn that left the ridgelines here exposed.

Access Info

From Dole Valley Road, jump on the 1100 road and drive 6.5 miles West to the junction with the 4109 road and drive South, up the hill, on this awful road until you get to a parking area. Then climb the trail from the parking area until you see an faint unmarked entrance to the trail on your right.
