The CLASTRA trail takes its name from the hamlet of the same name in the municipality of San Leonardo and was laid out and used for the first time for the 2019 edition of the classic "Krivapete" enduro race that has been held for years between the months of June and July on the trails of the Natisone Valleys.
It is a short trail, just over a kilometer, very technical in some of its passages, leading it to an IMBA classification of trail for experienced bikers (black).
It is reached by taking the convenient municipal asphalt road in the direction of the hamlet of Clastra, leaving it just before the village and taking a forest road on the left that, after a few hundred meters, enters the forest and leads, after several ups and downs and about 10 minutes of pedaling, to the plateau where the trail begins.
We immediately start with a challenging counter slope that immediately leads to the first difficulty: a steep drop on firm rock that immediately raises the adrenaline level in the blood.
A few hundred meters of curves in sequence and a false flat to pedal lead to the central part of the trail, which is characterized by a succession of driven sections, short and steep descents, tight turns and rocky sections where a perfect eye is needed to be able to dodge all the pitfalls of the trail. You then come to the fastest part, the final part, where a succession of fast curves takes riders to the meadow where the trail ends.
This trail is challenging with dry ground: it is not recommended to ride it in rain or in the presence of mud.
