***This trail has been replaced with the new Cronin Trail as of 2024. It starts to the North and is a much better experience.***
Amazing views and scenery High altitude backcountry wilderness alpine trail. Expect plenty of elevation gain, and a technical descent off the pass. Bring plenty of clothing, food, tools, and supplies. Trail follows old mining roads for much of the ascent, then descends via singletrack to Joe L'orsa Cabin. From there it is an 8 km descent on old mining road again to the edge of the park.

Disclaimer

This trail has been replaced by the Cronin Trail. Avoid the old Cronin Pass trail at this point.
