Dead Horse is typically ridden as a way of getting from Mosquito over to Deadhorse Extension. In a downward direction, it just flows and you don't even know you changed trails (yet again).
The top end of Dead Horse is at the tree, just before the mini gully turns, where Bear starts. It flows down and veers to the right after it kisses the fence line. Hug the hillside and it will take you all the way to Riddle where there is no other trail. As said, most used to get to Dead Horse Ext.
There are random stacks of bone which is likely where the name was derived so many moons ago.
Connect either from Riddle Rd in the middle of nowhere and climb up or flow into it from Mosquito at the top.
