The trail begins at the access road to the lower Frick parking lot, right below entrance to Braddock trail fire road and terminates either on to the Braddock Trail or Nine Mile Run trail, depending on whether you go up or down at the end.

Be cautious going over the namesake bridge as it can be slippery when wet, and there is a sharp turn immediately afterwards. The trail is bermed on the the southern side of the bridge to make the transition into the turn a bit smoother. There are two additional bridges on the trail as well, but both are fairly level and do not require turning at the end of them.
