This trail provides the shortest route to the summit of Mt. Eisenhower and a relatively easy access to the middle portion of Crawford Path and the Southern Presidentials. The last 0.2 mi.-segment before Edmands Path joins Mt. Eisenhaower Loop and Crawford Path is very exposed to northwest winds and, though short, can create a serious problem in bad weather. The ledgy brook crossing in the upper part of the trail can be treacherous in icy conditions.
Edmands Path climbs to Mt. Eisenhower Loop near its jct. with Crawford Path in the Eisenhower-Franklin col, starting from a parking lot on the east side of Mt. Clinton Rd., 2.3 mi. north of its jct. with US 302 and 1.3 mi. south of its jct. with Cog Railway Base Rd. and Jefferson Notch Rd.
For detailed trail description see the AMC's White Mountain Guide, P45.
