This trail provides the shortest route to the summit of Mt. Eisenhower and a relatively easy access to the middle portion of Crawford Path and the Southern Presidentials. The last 0.2 mi.-segment before Edmands Path joins Mt. Eisenhaower Loop and Crawford Path is very exposed to northwest winds and, though short, can create a serious problem in bad weather. The ledgy brook crossing in the upper part of the trail can be treacherous in icy conditions.
